OUR CORE VALUES

At Marigold Montessori School, we believe that every child is capable, curious, and full of potential. Our child-centered approach supports each child’s natural desire to learn by providing a calm, prepared environment where they can grow at their own pace. We follow Montessori principles to nurture independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. Rooted in respect and guided by each child’s interests, our classrooms foster exploration, creativity, and connection. Community is central to our work. Inspired by global experiences and a deep belief in alternative education, we value diversity, build strong relationships, and create a space where every family feels seen and supported. At Marigold Montessori, we’re growing more than minds—we’re growing kind, capable humans who are ready to thrive.

Inclusion and Belonging

At Marigold Montessori, we believe every child and family deserves to feel safe, seen, and celebrated for who they are. We support children in expressing themselves authentically—including through the clothes they choose to wear. Yes, boys can absolutely wear princess dresses here! What matters most is that each child feels confident, joyful, and respected for being themselves.
In our classroom, we include books and conversations that reflect the diversity of families, including same-sex parents, foster families, single parents, grandparents raising children, and families with different cultural identities. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where everyone feels accepted and children learn the importance of kindness, empathy, and inclusion.
Everyone is welcome here—just as they are.

What is the Montessori Method?

The Montessori method is a child-centered approach to education that encourages independence, curiosity, and hands-on learning.

Developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, the method is based on the belief that children learn best when they can explore at their own pace in a calm, carefully prepared environment.

In Montessori classrooms, teachers guide rather than direct, offering activities that match each child’s interests and stage of development. With mixed-age groups and a focus on respect, children build confidence, focus, and a lifelong love of learning.
